About Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC)
According to the policy decision under the XI Plan and the National Action Plan of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) in Bangalore, it became essential for all higher education institutions across the country to establish an Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC). This initiative aimed at continuous and comprehensive performance evaluation through quality sustenance measures. The IQAC was deemed crucial for institutions, as it was primarily tasked with developing a mechanism to maintain a consistent quality culture at the institutional level, both before and after accreditation.
The IQAC is dedicated to achieving institutional Quality Assurance and Quality Enhancement, striving for excellence in all significant parameters of higher education through the active participation and cooperation of all stakeholders.
On 9th April, 2024; the IQAC Committee of Assam Women's University became functional with Vice Chancellor as the Chairperson, seven faculty members, two external members, two alumni members and one member from AWUPGSU 2023-24 vide Notification No. AWU/Estt./87(Part-1)/2018/155 dated Jorhat the 09th April, 2024.
