Students' Service Centre (SSC) Committee
The Students Service Centre (SSC) at Assam Women’s University is a dedicated initiative aimed at promoting holistic student wellbeing and ensuring equitable access to mental health and wellness support for all learners.

OBJECTIVES
- Promoting Physical and Mental Wellbeing: Encouraging physical fitness, sports, and recreational activities to strengthen both body and mind.
- Providing Safeguards Against Academic and Social Stress: Creating support systems to address challenges such as academic pressure, peer pressure, behavioural issues, and career-related anxiety.
- Cultivating Positive Thinking and Emotional Resilience: Organizing awareness sessions, workshops, and mentoring programmes to nurture optimism and confidence among students.
- Building Supportive Networks: Fostering peer and faculty support groups that promote empathy, collaboration, and emotional balance within the student community.
PROCEDURE FOR SCHEDULING AN APPOINTMENT
Students of Assam Women’s University, Jorhat may approach any member of the Students Service Centre (SSC) Committee to schedule an appointment for consultation, guidance, or support.
Appointments may be arranged through any of the following modes:
- By Email: Students may write to any committee member using their official university email ID to request an appointment.
- By Telephone: Students may contact the member directly during working hours to confirm a suitable time slot.
- By Visiting in Person: Students may visit the concerned member in their respective department during office hours to schedule a meeting.
The SSC Committee encourages students to reach out freely and assures that all interactions will be treated with utmost confidentiality and sensitivity.

The Students Service Centre works closely with faculty members, parents, and mental health professionals to build a compassionate and resilient university ecosystem. The committee regularly conducts surveys, outreach programmes, and counselling initiatives to understand and respond to the evolving needs of our students.
