Instruction for Applicants

  • There is no prescribed format for general applicants. Any citizen who desires to obtain any information may submit their written application in a plain paper in English, Assamese or in Hindi clearly mentioning their name and proper address for correspondence to the Assistant Public Information Officer (APIO) of the University.
  • Within the statutory period of 30 days, the Assistant Public Information Officer shall intimate the applicants through post to come for inspection of documents, if any. The Assistant Public Information Officer shall also endeavor to send the information to the applicant within 30 days of receipt of such application through post.
  • The prescribed fee for filing the application is Rs.10/- by way of cash against proper receipt or by way of bank demand draft or banker's cheque or Indian Postal Order payable to the Registrar, Assam Women's University at Jorhat.
  • An appeal can be preferred before the Registrar and the 1st Appellate Authority against the decision of the Assistant Public Information Officer (APIO) of the University.
