National Cadet Corps (NCC)
The National Cadet Corps (NCC) is India's military cadet organization, headquartered in New Delhi, Delhi. Open to school and college students on a voluntary basis, it is a Tri-Services organization comprising the Army, Navy, and Air Force. NCC focuses on nurturing the youth of the nation into disciplined and patriotic citizens. It recruits cadets from high schools, colleges, and universities across India, providing them with basic military training in small arms and parades. While NCC officers and cadets are not obligated to serve in the military after completing their training, their achievements in the corps give them an advantage during selection processes over regular candidates.
